Jeremiah was the son of a priest in Israel so he was quite used to hearing about God. But one day God actually spoke to Jeremiah and asked him to become His spokesman. He would pass on God’s messages to everyone. What God said to Jeremiah helps us understand a bit more about God himself and how much he knows about us. – Slide 1

‘I am going to make you my spokesman. You will tell kings, leaders and the people that I am going to uproot, tear down and overthrow nations that disobey me. You will also say that God will build up and plant those who obey Him.’ – Slide 7

So Jeremiah set off to speak God’s words. Whatever God told him to say came true. Many did not like the messages Jeremiah gave and tried to harm him. But God kept His promise, ‘I am with you and will rescue you.’ No-one could harm Jeremiah as God was protecting him. – Slide 8
