After going in, he sat with the guards to see the outcome. – Slide 4

The Chief Priests and the whole Sanhedrin, were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so they could put Him to death. – Slide 5

But they did not find anything, although many false witnesses came forward. – Slide 6

Finally two came forward who declared, ‘This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the Temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’ – Slide 7

So the High Priest stood up and said, ‘Have you no answer? What is this they are testifying against you?’ – Slide 8

But Jesus was silent. The High Priest said to Him, ‘I charge you under oath. By the living God tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ – Slide 9

Jesus said to him, ‘You have said it yourself. But I tell you from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the power and sitting on the clouds of heaven.’ – Slide 10

Then the High Priest tore His clothes and declared, ‘He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? Now you have heard the blasphemy. What is your verdict?’ – Slide 11

They answered, ‘He is guilty. And deserves death.’ – Slide 12

Then they blindfolded Him, spat in His face and struck Him with their fists. Some slapped Him saying, ‘Prophesy for us you Christ, who hit you?’ – Slide 13
