Some years ago, the Lord saw that humans had become very wicked on the earth. He was sad He had made humans. So, the Lord decided to begin again by wiping everything from the face of the earth – humans and animals included. – Slide 1

But Noah found favour in the sight of the Lord. Noah was blameless among all the people for he walked with God. – Slide 2

So, God said to Noah, ‘Make for yourself a large boat of wood. – Slide 3

‘… and put rooms in it with lower and upper decks.’ – Slide 4

‘You will enter the boat …’ – Slide 5

‘… you, your wife, your sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives.’ – Slide 6

You must take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, the male and its mate, two of every kind of unclean animal.’ – Slide 7

‘In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the ground every living thing that I have made.’ – Slide 8

And after seven days the fountains of the great deep burst open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. And the rain fell on the earth forty days and nights. – Slide 9

As the waters increased, the boat raised above the earth. The waters completely covered the earth – even all the high mountains. – Slide 10

So, the Lord destroyed every living thing that was on the surface of the ground. Only Noah and those who were with him in the boat survived. – Slide 11

Then God remembered Noah and He caused a wind to blow over the earth and the waters receded by the end of 150 days. – Slide 12

When Noah sent out a dove and it returned with an olive branch he knew the waters were low. Then the Ark came to rest on a high mountain. – Slide 13

Then God spoke to Noah saying,’ Come out of the boat and bring all the living creatures that are with you.’ – Slide 14

‘Let them increase and be fruitful and multiply on the earth!’ – Slide 15

Noah built an altar and offered some of the clean animals as a burnt sacrifice to the Lord. – Slide 16

And God said, ‘I will place my rainbow in the clouds, and it will become a sign of the promise between me and the earth. Never again will the waters become a flood and destroy all living things.’ The rainbow is a sign of God’s promise never to destroy the world or humans again with water. – Slide 17
