A parable is a story with a meaning. This is a story Jesus told when He was asked who had given Him the authority to teach and preach.  <br/>The Bible also tells us that anyone who works for God will be rewarded one day. – Slide 1

Jesus was teaching about God’s love to crowds of people from all walks of life. Some of them were living lives that were not good and needed to turn back to God. – Slide 2

The Chief priest and temple teachers thought that Jesus shouldn’t be friends with bad people and asked Jesus where He got the authority to teach and preach. – Slide 3

Jesus said, ‘The owner of a vineyard had two sons. There was much work to be done pruning vines, picking grapes and making wine.’ – Slide 4

‘One day he needed some help and asked one of his sons to work for him. “No”, said the son. “I don’t want to work today.”’ – Slide 5

‘So, the father asked his other son if he would help him in the vineyard. “Yes, I will come and work for you,” the second son replied.’ – Slide 6

‘But he changed his mind and didn’t do as he had said. He stayed at home and didn’t bother going to help his father.’ – Slide 7

‘The first son, who had refused to work, was sorry for his attitude and went and helped in his father’s vineyard. “Which son did their father’s will?”’ – Slide 8
