Job learns about God through suffering.

The story of Job reminds us that even when we don’t understand the things that happen around us we can trust that God loves us and is with us. <br/>Job was a good man and always did what was good and right. He loved God with all his heart.  <br/>God saw Job and blessed everything that he did. Job was rich and healthy, with a nice house and family. – Slide 1

The devil said to God, ‘Let me test Job. He only trusts you because of the things you give him. If I took away everything he has and he even got sick, he wouldn’t care about you anymore.’ <br/>But God knew Job’s heart, ‘Test him and see,’ God said. – Slide 2

A servant came to give Job some bad news. His children, his farm workers and all his sheep and cows were dead. Even his barn had been blown down. But Job did not turn away from God, or blame Him. – Slide 3

‘If God sends good things, or takes them away, I always trust and praise Him. Whatever happens to me, God is always with me. Nothing can ever take God’s love away from me,’ said Job. – Slide 4

When Job got very sick, his friends came to give him some advice. ‘God did this to punish you for not being good enough,’ they said. ‘No,’ said Job, ‘God is good.’ – Slide 5

Then God spoke to Job. ‘You were not there when I made the universe. You cannot move  the sun; turn the earth; make it rain, or cause lightening to strike.’ Job gave thanks to his great God, who made everything. – Slide 6

So, God blessed Job with even more than he had before. He had seven sons, three beautiful daughters and many more animals. Job lived a long and happy life and thanked God.  <br/>The story of Job reminds us that even when we don’t understand the things that happen around us, we can trust that God loves us and is with us. – Slide 7
