Jesus has always had a special place in His heart for children.
Once Jesus’ followers came to Him and asked, ‘Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’
Jesus called a child to Him and said, ‘I tell you the truth. You must change and become like little children. If you don’t do this, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. The greatest person in the kingdom of heaven is the one who makes himself humble like this child. Whoever accepts a little child in my name accepts me’ (Matthew 18:1–8). – Slide 1

Once when Jesus was teaching a large group of men, some mothers tried to bring their children to Him to bless them. Jesus’ disciples tried to stop them getting through to Jesus.
When Jesus saw what was happening He said, ‘Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these little children. I tell you the truth. You must accept God’s kingdom like a little child, or you will never enter it!’ (Luke 18:15-17). – Slide 2

The religious leaders did not want Jesus to be praised. They asked Jesus, ‘Do you hear the things these children are saying?’
Jesus answered, ‘Yes. Haven’t you read in the Scriptures, ‘God has taught children and babies to sing praises”?’ (Luke 19:28–40, Psalm 8:2). – Slide 7
