Joshua brought the people of Israel to the River Jordan which was in flood and too dangerous to cross. <br/>Joshua told the priests, ‘Take the Ark of the Covenant. Cross over the river ahead of the people.’ So the priests lifted the Ark of the Covenant and carried it ahead of the people. Joshua then told the people. ‘When the priests enter the water, the river will stop flowing. It will stand up in a heap as if a dam were there.’ – Slide 1

The Lord spoke to Joshua saying, ‘Look, I have given you Jericho. Have seven priests carry trumpets made from horns of male sheep. Tell them to march in front of the Ark of the Covenant. On the seventh day march around the city seven times. On that day tell the priests to blow the trumpets as they march. They will make one long blast on the trumpets. When you hear that sound, have all the people give a loud shout. Then the walls of the city will fall.’ – Slide 3
