After Jesus rose from the dead He showed himself to some of His followers by Lake Galilee. This is how it happened.
Simon Peter said, ‘I am going out to fish.’
Thomas, Nathanael, James, John and two others joined him in the boat. They fished that night but caught nothing. – Slide 1

Early the next morning, Jesus stood on the shore. But the fishermen did not know that it was Jesus. Then He said to them, ‘Friends, have you caught any fish?’
They answered, ‘No.’
Jesus said, ‘Throw your net into the water on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.’ – Slide 2

So, they cast their nets on the other side of the boat. They caught so many fish that they could not pull the net back into the boat. – Slide 3

John said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord!’ When Peter heard him say this, he jumped into the water and swam to Jesus. The other followers went to shore in the boat, dragging the net full of fish. They were not very far from shore. – Slide 4

When they came ashore, they saw a fire of hot coals. There were fish on the fire, and there was bread.
Jesus said, ‘Bring some of the fish that you caught.’
They pulled the net to the shore. It was full of big fish (153 of them).
Jesus said to them, ‘Come and eat.’ – Slide 5

They all knew it was Jesus. He came and took the bread and gave it to them. He also gave them the cooked fish to eat. – Slide 6

After the meal, Jesus spoke to Peter privately and asked him three times. ‘Peter, do you love me?’ Peter had denied Jesus three times on the day Jesus was arrested and put to death on the cross.
Three times Peter replied, ‘Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.’
Jesus forgave Peter and three times told him he was to teach people, young and old, the things that Jesus had taught him. – Slide 7
