A man in the crowd called to Jesus, ‘Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.’ – Slide 1

Jesus replied, ‘Who made me a judge over you to decide such things as that? Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not consist of having many of possessions.’ – Slide 2

Jesus then gave an illustration: ‘A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. His barns were full to overflowing—he couldn’t get everything in.  – Slide 3

‘He thought about his problem, and finally exclaimed, “I know—I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones! Then I’ll have room enough. – Slide 4

“And I’ll sit back and say to myself, ‘Friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink and be merry.” – Slide 5

But God said to him, “Fool! Tonight you die. Then who will get it all?”’ – Slide 6

‘Yes,’ said Jesus, ‘every man who gets rich on earth but not in heaven is a fool.’ – Slide 7
