A parable about a lost sheep that is found.
Contributed by Rawderson Rangel
Now the tax collectors and people that were labelled sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. – Slide 1
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, ‘This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.’ – Slide 2
So Jesus told them this parable. ‘Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and then you find that one of them is missing. – Slide 3
‘Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in safety and go searching for the lost sheep? – Slide 4
And doesn’t he keep searching until he finds the missing sheep? – Slide 5
‘And when he finds the lost sheep, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, “Let’s celebrate - I have found my lost sheep.”’ – Slide 6
Jesus then went on to say, ‘In the same way there will be more celebration in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.’ – Slide 7
