Jesus walks on water

Once at the end of a busy day Jesus asked His disciples to get into their boat and go to the other side of the lake. – Slide 1

Then Jesus said goodbye to the large groups of people that had been with Him all day. – Slide 2

Then He went up into a mountain to pray by Himself. – Slide 3

About three o’clock in the morning the boat was still in the middle of the lake. The wind was strong and great waves made it difficult to reach the other side. – Slide 4

Jesus on the land could see what was happening to His disciples. – Slide 5

He came towards them walking on the water. The disciples were very frightened but Jesus said, ‘Be brave! It is Me, don’t be afraid!’ – Slide 6

Peter said, ‘Lord if it is you command me to walk to you on the water!’ <br/>Jesus said, ‘Come!’ – Slide 7

So Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water towards Jesus. – Slide 8

Suddenly Peter looked at how strong the wind was and he became afraid. He began to cry out for Jesus to save him. Jesus stretched out HIs hand and took hold of Peter. ‘Why did you have so little faith?’ Jesus asked. – Slide 9

When Jesus and Peter got back to the boat, the wind stopped blowing. <br/>All the disciples were amazed. 'You are God’s Son!' they declared and worshipped Jesus. – Slide 10
