After feeding over 5,000 people with five fish and two loaves of bread, Jesus became very popular. <br/>Some want to make Jesus king. They hope that he will drive out the Roman occupiers. Jesus’ opponents are on the increase. Even though He helps people, the religious leaders think He violates the law. They want to turn the people against Jesus and get rid of Him. – Slide 1

When Jesus was found on the other side of Lake Galilee, the religious leaders asked, ‘Master when did you get here?’ <br/>Jesus replied: ‘Are you looking for me because of the bread I gave you? Don’t worry about food that disappears, but about the food that lasts and gives eternal life.’ – Slide 2

They asked Him, ‘What is the work that God requires?’ <br/>Jesus answered, ‘The work of God is to believe in the One He has sent. I am the bread that gives eternal life. It is my body for the life of the world.’ – Slide 3

The religious leaders started grumbling and arguing, ‘How can this man give us His body to eat? He is speaking rubbish.’ – Slide 4

They encouraged the crowds to keep away from Jesus. ‘Go away! He’s just deceiving everyone.’ From that time on many who had been following Jesus left Him. – Slide 5

Jesus turned to His disciples and asked, ‘Don’t you want to go as well?’ <br/>Simon Peter replied, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of everlasting life! We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.’ – Slide 6
