1
Simon Peter, Thomas, Nathaniel, James and John, and two other disciples, were by the sea of Galilee. – Slide 1
2
‘I’m going out to fish,’ Simon Peter told them. ‘We’ll go with you,’ they replied. They fished all night but caught nothing. – Slide 2
3
Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realise that it was Him. – Slide 3
4
Jesus called out, ‘Friends, haven’t you any fish?’ ‘No,’ they answered. – Slide 4
5
Jesus said, ‘Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.’ – Slide 5
6
They obeyed and threw the net over the other side of the boat. – Slide 6
7
When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. – Slide 7
8
John said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord!’ Immediately, Simon Peter wrapped his outer garment around himself, jumped into the water and swam ashore. – Slide 8
9
The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish. They were only about a hundred yards (100m) from the shore. – Slide 9
10
When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. – Slide 10
11
Jesus said, ‘Bring some of the fish you have just caught.’ So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. – Slide 11
12
It was full of large fish, 153 in all, but the net was not torn. – Slide 12
13
‘Come and have breakfast,’ Jesus said. None of the disciples dared ask Him, ‘Who are you?’ They knew it was the Lord. – Slide 13
14
Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. This was now the third time Jesus had appeared to His disciples after He was raised from the dead. – Slide 14
