After a trip to the region of Tyre and Sidon, Jesus returned and walked along the coast of Lake Galilee into a region full of Gentiles. Then He went up on a mountainside and sat down. – Slide 1

Huge crowds came to Jesus, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at His feet. Jesus healed them. – Slide 2

The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. They praised the God of Israel. – Slide 3

Jesus called His disciples and said, ‘I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days and they have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry since they may faint on the way.’ – Slide 4

The disciples replied,’ ‘Where can we get enough bread in this desolate place to feed so great a crowd?’ – Slide 5

Jesus said to them, ‘How many loaves do you have?’ They replied, ‘Seven—and a few small fish.’ – Slide 6

After instructing the crowd to sit down on the ground, Jesus took the seven loaves and the fish, and after giving thanks, He broke them in pieces. – Slide 7

Jesus gave the pieces of bread and fish to His disciples who then gave them to the crowds. – Slide 8

Not counting children and women, there were 4,000 men who ate and none were left hungry. – Slide 9
